Appeal for adequate fund disbursement for relief and rehabilitation of flood affected people of Odisha

While rest of India is focused on violence against Christianity and blasts across the nation, people have been dying in the remotest parts of Odisha under water and due to hunger. Recent floods have broken the backbone of poor farmers of Odisha. This flood has been severest in recent history of Odisha. The scale of damage is unimaginable; the plight of the suffering is only seen to be believed.
In these dire circumstances, people of Odisha have emptied their coffer (http://Odisha.gov.in/portal/flood/List_of_Donors.pdf), but the funds are not enough to feed hungry stomachs still trapped under flood water. Rehabilitation process is going to be a major challenge for Government of Odisha. It requires a coherent effort from the state government, the central government and NGO’s operating in Odisha.
